Bearded Coast started in 2018 because I couldn't find what I was looking for. Not just beard care that worked - though the itching and beardruff were real - but a brand that was honest about what went in the bottle and actually stood for something. So I built it.

How We Got Here
The pandemic gave a lot of people time to think. For me, it turned into a business.
I'd been frustrated with what was on the market - ingredient lists full of junk, brands that performed well on paper but felt empty, and a beard care category that seemed to think its entire audience was one specific kind of guy. I knew what I wanted, and it didn't exist, so I started making it.
The first batches came out of Auburn, California. We're now handcrafting in Nashville, Tennessee. The process is still the same: small batches, real ingredients, full transparency on what's in every product and why.

Beyond 4ocean: we default to glass packaging over plastic, keep our batches small to cut waste, and source our ingredients responsibly. We're not perfect. We are intentional.

As a barber, I use beard butter on all of my beard trim clients at the beginning of their service. I've been looking for a new product line to feature in my studio and I've finally found exactly what I've been looking for with True OG! The consistency is perfect. It melts right away in my hands to be applied and makes my clients' beards soft and easy to work with without being sticky or oily. It's luxurious and it's a perfect price point for my clients! Citrus forward scent with hints of sandalwood/cedar - this might be the perfect summer scent. The butter is great too - light, non-greasy finish.

Amazing product! Love the scent and it keeps both my beard and skin underneath hydrated.
My only nit is that sometimes the bottle gets stuck closed and then spills a little when pulled open.

I found about this company from a TikTok user named Kensconsin (not sure if I spelled that correctly) I’m a blue collar punk from Ohio and I don’t really fit in with most other workers in my industry. What appealed to me first was the companies stance on things going on in the country. I’m a proud father to a gay daughter and happily married to a bi sexual woman so the message aligns with our beliefs as well. The products are amazing. Great scents and quality. My only complaints are I wish there were more scents to choose from and bigger quantities. Other than that, this will be my go to beard care for the foreseeable future.
